We will be joining forces with our local non-profit,
Keep Little Elm Beautiful, and registering our Spring 2017 Extreme Clean & Green event with 
Keep Texas Beautiful for the Annual "Don't mess with Texas TRASH OFF!"

The entrance will be at 1600 Mark Tree Lane just off of Preston on the Lake at the Public Works Service Center.

The Town offers two events per year for residents to purge their homes of all hazardous waste, tires for recycling, electronic waste recycling, metal recycling, and document shredding recycling. These events are held in the spring and fall each year at the Public Works Service Center. You will need to bring a current water bill and photo identification to enter the drop site. 

The following services are provided: 
  • E-cycling (electronics)    
  • Household Hazardous Waste     
  • Document Shredding for Recycling
  • Tire Recycling      
  • Clothing & Small Household Item Recycling

In order to service the growing number of residents with the more difficult items to be disposed of the following items will not be collected until AFTER the event at our Courtesy Drop Site. The Courtesy Drop Site will open at 12:00pm promptly right after the event.

In conjunction with the upcoming Spring Clean & Green Event, the Town of Little Elm will participate in the Don't Mess With Texas Trash-Off Event!  Residents & businesses are encouraged to work together to remove litter from roadsides, city parks, neighborhoods, and waterways during the state's single largest one-day cleanup event!    

During the Fall Clean & Green Event, the Town of Little Elm will celebrates Arbor Day!  Our FALL Extreme Clean & Green Event will be Saturday, October 14th, 2017.  Trees will be available to participating residents while supplies last Each household could receive 1 free Elm tree to plant in their yard (3 gal/4-6 ft tall.) So come early with your unwanted items.  You must bring items to dispose of to receive a tree!  Arbor Day is sponsored in part by Keep Little Elm Beautiful!
