Little Elm Literacy Class
Curtis Cornelious (Little Elm Mayor Pro Tem) and Tina Hager (Friends of the Library grant writer) visited the Little Elm Friends of the Library English as a Second Language (ESL) classes Thursday night, February 23, 2012. They observed the Level 1 student oral presentations and helped conduct student practice English conversation. Tina Hager is currently searching for grant opportunities to help fund the program. Curtis Cornelious said he was very impressed with student progress and that he plans to visit again as his schedule allows. All who work with the classes are volunteers, and all books are free for the students.
