Adoption fees are $10.00.

 You have 30 days or up to 6 months depending on the age of the animal to get it sterilized and vaccinated against rabies.

Must provide us proof on or before date given or charges can be filled.

All stray animals are held for 3 days before being placed up for adoption. (NO EXCEPTIONS).

Once an animal is ready for adoptions we do not hold or reserve for any reason. We adopt and release to rescue on a first come first serve basis.

If you are a rescue group and have a 501C3 you must provide a copy of your 501C3 before the animal can be released.

You will first go to the shelter to view the animal you want then the adoption is done at the Little Elm Police Department.

 Monday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (Appointment Only)

Tuesday thru Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (Walk Ins)

Saturday 8:00 am to 11:00 am 

Saturday appointments must be made by 12:00 noon on Fridays.

*** The Police Department answers the phone for the Animal Shelter and we close at 12:00 noon on Fridays.  If you need Animal Control after 12:00noon you will need to go to the shelter. If this is an Animal Control EMERGENCY you may call Denton County Dispatch. ***
