Chief of Police
As the administrative head of the agency, the Chief is responsible for all of the planning, controlling, directing, coordinating and staffing activities of the police department. He is responsible for the efficient allocation of resources as established through the budgetary process, as well as the department's relations with the local community, local government and other related agencies. The Chief reports to the Town Manager.

Assistant Chief
The Assistant Chief serves in the second highest position within the department. He is the operational head of the department, responsible for maintaining order and good discipline. His is responsible for the implementation of all programs and policies as established and directed by the Chief. He directly oversees the daily operations of the Criminal Investigations, Animal Control, Crime Prevention and Community Services Divisions. The Assistant Chief is the administrative head of the agency when the Chief is away and reports directly to the Chief of Police.

Lieutenant
The Police Lieutenant commands the Patrol Operations Division of the police department. Patrol Operations is composed of the patrol division, traffic division, School Resource Officers, and the Marine Patrol. The Police Lieutenant is responsible for the efficiency, discipline, good conduct, appearance and overall productivity of the Patrol Operations Division. She is responsible for the implementation of operation programs and policies as established and directed by the Chief of Police. The Police Lieutenant reports directly to the Chief of Police.
