Seminar:  "We Can Work It Out:  Secrets of a Mediator"

Mediate - Don't Litigate!  Litigation has become common and incredibly expensive in today's world.  Most people, however, cannot afford the high cost of hiring lawyers and battling in court.  Mediation is an alternative method for resolving disputes that is far less expensive and far more effective in many situations.  Mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution will be explained and discussed.  RSVP at the front desk.

AARP Smart Driver Course
Friday, April 14, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Registration begins at 11:45 am
This course is one 4-hour class designed for individuals 50 and over, however, any TX licensed driver over 21 can participate.  You will learn:  defensive driving techniques, proven safety strategies, new traffic laws, and rules of the road; plus there are no tests to pass.  You simply sign up and learn.  Upon completion you could receive a multi-year discount on your auto insurance (check with your auto insurance company to be sure).  This course is not for ticket dismissal.  $15 for AARP members, $20 for non-members.  Stop by the front desk or call to register for this course.  FLYER

Jam Making Class
Saturday, April 15, 10:30 am
Sponsored by Angela Vanderschuit with Century 21-Judge Fite

Angela will be doing a complete demonstration on how to make jam, right here in our kitchen.  Once the jam is finished, you will be sent home with your own jar.  Limit one jar per household.  RSVP at the front desk.

Painting Exhibit
Saturday, April 29, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Senior Center will host it's first Youth Painting Exhibit featuring local artists.  Enjoy this opportunity to enjoy some locally produced art right in your community.  All artists will be 16 years old and younger.  Everyone is welcome to this event, so bring the family.
