Chapter 26 of the Little Elm Code of Ordinances requires that promotional special events obtain a permit. Such events include grand openings, parking lot sales, tent and sidewalk sales, and other similar events. Generally, if exterior portions of a commercial site are impacted by temporary activities or structures, a promotional special event permit is required.
The promotional event permit includes provisions for special sign privileges and discounted health inspections . If you have any questions regarding promotional events or if your event needs a permit, please call Development Services at 214-975-0456.
The fee for promotional events is $50. If applicable, an additional $25 health fee is applied for food. Town sponsored events are exempt from the fee.
Important to note, block parties are permitted by the Police Department (214-975-0460) through a separate process, and special events requiring the use of Town facilities and parks are permitted through the Parks Department (972-731-3299 or 214-618-1401).
