Nick Musteen, Council Member
Nick Musteen moved with his family to Little Elm the summer of 2006. His career had taken them all over the Mid-South, but he decided it was time to pick a permanent home in Little Elm, which was a wonderful choice.
Nick and his wife, Angela, have been married for over 25 years and they have five children: Morgan, who graduated from LEHS in 2012 and attended UNT; Cameron who graduated from LEHS in 2015 and attends North Central Texas College in Gainesville; Matthew who graduated from LEHS in 2017 and attends Louisiana Tech University; Evan who will graduate LEHS in 2019, and Kyndall, LEHS Class of 2024! Nick’s entire family is LOBO proud and huge supporters of the Little Elm LOBO Band!
Nick deals with Fortune 500 companies on a daily basis, which he believes “allows me key insights as to handle difficult situations. The most valuable lessons I learned though, were from Sam Walton himself during my time working for his company.”
“Watch everything. Learn everything. Question everything. Most importantly, learn HOW to fail at something. Because if you don’t ever try, you can’t ever fail.” ~ Sam Walton
Those words shaped Nick’s future and has guided him through a career filled with more highs than lows, and kept him grounded and focused on setting and obtaining goal. This is a passion he brings to every Town Council Meeting.
Nick also ran in 2010 for Town Council, served as the Vice President of the Robinson Ridge HOA, and served as the head of the Architectural Review Committee. Nick and his family moved from Robinson Ridge to Sunset Point in 2013, choosing to stay as central to Little Elm as possible.
While he proudly serves the Residents of District 5, Nick loves to engage the entire Town in conversation, inclusions and collaborations. No matter where he travels to, he always finds a way to work the Town of Little Elm into a conversation, constantly encouraging businesses and people to relocate here.
