About Animal Services
In July, 2015, the operations of the animal shelter was restructured to be under Community Integrity, which provides a customer driven approach to animal services, maintains a clean and inviting animal shelter, believes in professional and ethical performance of its duties, and providing a safe and healthy environment for all animals in our care.
During regular business hours, call 972-377-1898 for matters related to this service. Leave a message if no answer, officers will respond as soon as possible.
If you have an animal control issue during non-business hours and holidays, call the Denton County Sheriffs Office at (940) 349-1600 or (972) 434-5500.
During non-business hours and holidays, Animal Services officers will respond to emergencies and animal bites only.

Reporting Deceased Animals
Deceased animals on the roadway can be reported by calling (972) 377-1898.
Live animal traps are available from Animal Services. There is not a cost to use a trap; however there is a $60 refundable deposit. Please call to check availability.
Lost or Found Animal
If your pet is missing or if you have located an animal that is not yours, please complete a lost or found report. Once this form is submitted, Animal Services is notified during normal business hours.
If you are reporting your pet as lost and Animal Services locates it, you will be contacted based on the information you submit on the form, so please be as accurate and complete as possible.
If you are reporting a found animal and would like Animal Services to pick it up please call (972) 377-1898 and leave a message.
If you would like to hold onto the animal until the owners are found, please fill out the form. The information you provide will be given to the owners to contact you.
You must contact Animal Services about found animals and file a report as soon as possible. It is not legal to assume ownership without notifying Animal Services, enabling the owner the opportunity to reclaim their pet.
